I just returned from an approximate 2,000 trip. Needless-to-say I've a fair amount of bugs impacted on the front of the car (I know...I could have used a bra). I more or less detailed the car today but (even using a commercial bug remover), I still have some stubborn 'buggage' on the paint.
I tried the cleaning section on the FAQs page but the link was dead.
Would a clay bar help? Steam cleaning? Maybe a Brillo pad Any suggestions to remove the bugs will be greatly appreciated.
Believe it or not this little trick works great on the stuborn bugs. Get some "Bounce" Fabric softner pads dip in water and wash the bugs right off! You will have to recoat the wax , rejex , or Zaino but it will remove the nasty little devils.

I use this method on my daily drivers but never thought of doing it with the C6. The one time I left bugs on it I used claybar to remove them.
I have had good luck with Quick Detail Spray and a Micro-Fiber cloth. Spray the Detail Spray heavy on the entire area. Go back and spray a little at a time and wipe off.
throw a wet towel on there and let it set for a bit...
Believe it or not, water will take off bug stuff when everything else fails. One other item to try is called wipe away, citrus based cleaner that will not harm your paint. This is the best stuff I have ever used for removing tar and bugs. Your local Walmart carries this product, usually by the spray paint. It comes in a clear plastic oval shaped bottle. Good luck.
Thanks everyone. I did wash the car with special attention to the front. I tried soaking the bugs with a hot, wet towel and then the auto store bug remover (and a lot of fingernail). I even thought about trying one of the supposedly 'non-abrasive' plastic weave kitchen scouring pads. I got about 95% of them but there's just a few especially tough ones remaining.
I will try the Bounce fabric softener sheet tomorrow. If all else fails, I think I'll get a clay bar and have at it.
Sounds like you may have some etching from the bugs sitting on the paint too long. Bugs are very acidic and will etch the paint if allowed to sit on the paint for more than 24 hours especially when exposed to the sun. Once you are sure they are removed I would go over it with a good SSR like Zaino Fusion (ZPC) or 3m 39009 to remove any inperfections due to etching. In severe cases you may even need to wet sand and re-polish.
Next time I would put a good coat of Zaino or your favorite LSP on the bumper and clean them off nightly with a wet towel or sponge.
...water or detailer soaked pair of panty hose borrowed from your wife, girlfriend, sister or mother will also work. Find a pair w/o hair...clean them before you return them to the dresser...
Next time you go on a long trip, get some Vaseline and rub a thin coat over the entire nose of the car. When you get back, just wipe it off with a soft cloth and then wash the car as normal. You won't believe how well this works, and it won't harm the paint in any way. This tip comes from a guy who has painted custom cars for nearly 50 years.
