I have a Black '03 Z06 so it really shows any scratches like you all know. Anyway, I wash my car in the morning when it is totally shaded in the driveway to minimize any chances of water spotting. I also use the mister clean with meguiars gold class car wash cut 50-50 with water before adding to the soap reservoir of the mister clean unit. After washing, I rinse with nonfiltered water to remove all of the soap, then I use the filtered rinse of the mister clean unit.
To blow dry, I use the Black and Decker Leaf Hog, and start from the top and work my way down. I dry the car completely in what seems like 15 - 20 minutes. I don't find any water spots at all doing it this way. Doing it in the shade, and using the filtered rinse is probably a big part of my success.
Mr. Clean Auto Dry is suppose to be hands free from drying. I agree the less chance of swirls if you don't have to touch paint but you do have to wipe paint down as the dirt cakes onto the paint and will not just wash off. Friction/physical removal of stuff that gets onto your paint like tree sap, tar, bugs, water spots etc. No way around this
i'm to lazy to remove nozzle from hose . i just fill an empty milk jug and pour it over car ,it works same as rinsing nozzleless . depending on car size i may have to refill jug once or twice .
Just think...that's gotta be pretty funny for the neighbors to watch. I felt a little off blowing my old car off with a shop vac. HAHA- but it works!
Well if you really want to make alot of noise get a gasoline blower (not recommended) But when you think of it when you drive any other car through one of those automatic car washes they use a blower at the end to get most of the water off.

Didn't I read somewhere that this Mr. Clean stuff actually takes off the sealants so it can do it's sheeting magic?

I remember reading the same thing months ago. I believe they were talking about the soap used in the system. The cartridges are just mixed-bed deinonzed resin and remove the minerals that cause the water spotting.
The Mr. Clean is a good idea in theory but after trying one for a month or so, I just axed it and purchased a DI system because the MC didn't have enough pressure to it and since I have VERY hard water here in my area, the cartridge would last for 2 maybe 3 washes at best.
