Hello all:
Picking up my new 92 C4 this weekend. Previous owner took nice car of car but still not detailed to my standards.
For engine detailing on all my other cars (all are daily drivers), I use degreaser, a light spray from the hose sprayer & rinse thoroughly, then Armor-all on the plastic. Looks like new!
I have read many different opinions on a light spray hose on Vette engines. I was hoping C4 owners could chime in...any particular part I should mask off w/ plastic before cleaning? I don't want an electrical problem on day 1 of ownership!
Thanks!!

The one thing I would really, really, and I underscore really
is the Optispark. You don't want to get moisture in there. It will be expensive to repair. LT4 owners can tell you all about it. It's located behind the water pump in the front of the car. Keep water out of there.

It's right underneath the water pump and very hard to cover up or mask off. Most guys with LT1s or LT4s use Simple Green and a lot of rags. Water never even enters the equation...
