buff question
cause sometimes if i look online buffing machine is like over 100 bux
but if i go to autozone there are ones that cost betweeen 20-40 dollars
dont you guys think it matters what kinda was and cloth i used for buffing ? not the machine ?
what u guys think ? if i just buy the microfibe pad
I highly suggest a Porter Cable, Cyclo, UDM, or Flex random orbital buffer. These are better options and will be used time and time again, versus being buried in the garage after first use.
You will spend well over $100, but it's way worth it. Your car is an investment and so is the PC. You'll love it.

A great combination is MIP followed by ZPC, and then on to the Z sealants.
AG = Autogeek.net
PC = Porter Cable.
MIP = Menzerna Intensive Polish.
Porter Cable = Porter Cable 7424 (same as the 7336) polisher
Cylo = Cyclo Orbital Polisher
UDM = Ultimate Detailing Machine.
ROB = Random Orbital Buffer - creates a randomized polishing motion, rather than a pure circular motion. Purely circular machines are like your power drill with a buffing pad on the end of it - VERY DANGEROUS for a beginner - these are called "rotary machines" - stay away for now. Stay with something that calls itself a "Random Orbital Buffer" instead.
In my book, the most popular trusted "ROB" is the Porter-Cable 7424. The most trusted rotary machine is the Makita 9227C. You want the PC7424, no matter how much it costs - look around.

Welcome to the madness !
If you are serious about detailing I would go with a Flex or Makita BO6040 since they have enough power to actually do some descent paint correction.
The PC ROB will only work on minor spiderwebbing on the super hard corvette clear coat but is a great machine for a beginner.
I found a good deal locally on a PC but I had to go to a specialty tool store to get it, well worth the money spent IMO.Autogeek has a good price on the PC as well along with the Lake Country and Edge pads, I prefer the Edge pads myself.
