Tried Something...
today on my DD.
It was one of those rainy days here in Virginia and on my drive to work this morning, that line where the right side wipers stops with the gunky buildup turned into six of those same lines turning my wipers something that sounded like when you drive over rumble strips... I had to put up with it for an hour until I reached work.
When I got home I cleaned the windshield with Invisible Glass and then got the PC out. I put on the white pad that came with the PC; then I got the Menzerna FP out and used it on the windshield to remove all of the wax, grease and the lines. I started out on 3 and slowly progressed up until I finished at 6 in about three minutes per side. I followed up with another cleaning with Invisible Glass and a clean microfiber towel.
The difference in the surface is like night and day...smooth...shiny...clean...
I would only warn those to be careful with the polish of choice. Glass should receive care and why we create a glass restorer polish under our DP and Diamonite brands.

I was desperate and needed to get the window cleared of those damn streaks...and figured the Menz FP was the least abrasive with that junk pad that came with the PC.
I will have to look into the DP and Diamonite products soon...Thanks

Menzerna FP is a good mild product for the job you were doing, the white pad that comes with your PC is pretty worthless.....
Toss it and get some good ones......
Autogeek here is a good vendor and they have several options that can meet all needs....
I use Zaino's Glass Polish a few times a year, it works awesome and even removes small scratches if worked long enough. It also makes the windshield look awsome and the wiper work great.

I have a supply of LC orange, black, red, white and blue pads I bought when I got the PC...I just did not want to use one of those...
I remembered someone here saying to use the white pad that came with the PC on the acrylic walls in our shower to clean them so I figured it would be good enough to clean the windshield...
I did the same thing on my glass that was full of etched water spots. The products used was white pad that came with the pc and duragloss 755 glass polish it did an awsome job, and up to this point i had tried everything under the sun to get the spots off.
