Buffing

Filled it with paint, sanded flat and then buffed out the sand marks.
In the garage it looks pretty good but out in the sun around the area that got buffed looks like chromalusion paint. A goldish tinge to my ruby paint.
Did I burn my clear coat? I went really easy in steps to get the scratches out so I thought I was being safe? Any ideas?
It sounds like a effect you get when you sand metallic touch up paint (without seeing it). Reason being, the metallic settles and then you sand off the top layer down to the metallic.
I recommend doing the first blob/fill with your ruby touchup and then filling the remainder of the chip with clear coat, then sand and buff. This way you do not sand down to the metallic in the TU.
Of course this is my best guess without seeing it.
If you went through the cc it would look like a larger dull ring around the chip.
You can undo what you did with Langka and then start over with the Ruby then clear TU.
