I have never used one. I saw one on sale at WalMart today and wondered if it would be something I could use to get a great shine with my bright red C4. Any recommendations? Thanks
Corvette paint is very hard so I would get a buffer with some descent power such as the Flex. Pick up a Flex 3401. Check the vendor AutoGeek for details.
Been looking into picking up a Flex as I've read good things, but I have the Porter Cable which I've used pretty heavily for about 8 years now. Solid unit, does a good job. I'd look at the PC or Flex.
Judging by your phrasing, are you asking about applying or removing polishes?
A polisher like the PC or Flex is really meant to apply polishes only IMO.
Removal is better done by hand via MF towels.
I did apply Z sealant once with my PC, but see no upside to it.
Polishes by machine, everything else by hand.
I would buy the Flex if I was buying today.
polishing by hand is embarrasing at best. Add in certain coats like the Vette and its truly a waste. Unfortunately those cheap buffers at Walmart dont offer enough speed and power to polish either and best left to wax application and removal.
PC, G110, and Flex are all orbitals that are safe for all detailers when used with care. And as offered the Flex is the greatest upgrade to orbitals and moves much closer to rotaries for most. We offer packages with each to make the choices easier and I highly suggest the Menzerna packages with buffers.
