I did a search on this and came up with mixed answers.
I was reorganizing my garage yesterday (like that never ends) and came across my old Black and Decker RO polisher.
My question is, what is the definitive answer asto whether I should use it or not to apply wax to my black Vette. I quit using it years ago and have been waxing strictly by hand. But, I'm getting old and my shoulders and elbows hurt more after wax-on wax-off. Besides, it's an opportunity to use a power tool "argh-argh-argh".
I think you might want to look at a new more effective buffer. The PC 7424 is a good unit that is reasonably priced. The Flex is supposed to be even better, but much higher priced.
I own a PC, have used it many times, and can vouch for it's quality. I recently bought a Flex based on the rave reviews I've read here and on other forums, but I haven't had a chance to give it a try yet.
I'm almost 50, cheap, and poor (2 kids in college).
I had a PC, and recently upgraded to the flex.
Throw that POS out.
The flex/PC are meant for polishing. You still are better off applying/removing wax/sealants by hand.
Applying/removing Z sealants by hand is a piece of cake.
Anybody with a vette, and even more so a black vette should have one.

terry and old foam could leave swirls and marks, I too would wax via hand. I can name several like Four Star, Wolfgang, and Pinnacle that are super easy to apply and remove and take no real effort also.
