A friend of mine says he waxes the windows on his 02 corvette, I would like to know what happens when it rains, do the windows streak and smear, can you see whats coming towards you. Does anyone here on the forum do that? It sound crazy to me.
I think it ultimately depends on the wax/sealant of choice. I have used Zaino and a few others on the windows and not had any issues. It works similar to something like Rain-X. It causes rain to bead and roll/blow away quickly.
I have heard Aquapel is a great option, but I haven't had the chance to use it yet. I'll probably pick some up for my spring detail.
I like to use the Glass Science Rain Clear Gel or any quality sealant on my glass. Thoroughly cleaning the glass before and only using the wipers as needed will really help extend the life of the protection as well. I would not recommend using a carnauba wax on the glass though.
Nothing works better or protects longer than Aquapel .... trust me ! Super easy to use also, no hard buffing and buffing. Best part, spray cleaners dont remove it unlike those other gels and sprays.
Killerwheels, As much as I like the longevity of Aquapel and it it's water shedding ability, I have noticed that I get wiper chatter when using it. I recently have been using Zaino z2 on a clean windshield and have not had any chattering. Your thoughts, Frank

I use Zaino on my windows when I am not using Aquapel and it too works awesome. It makes the wipers work much better and smoothly and water just blows right off when you drive down the road and if you are going fast enough you do not even need your wipers.
I also use Zaino's Glass Polish once in a while and it actually removes "real" small scratches and leaves your windows shinier and is the perfect prep for Z2p or Aquapel for that matter.
I highly recommend putting Zaino or Aquapel on your windows.
I haven't tried any nuba products recently so really can't comment but suspect they would worl well but similar to when they are on the paint won't have the durability of the latter two products.
My only complaint with Aquapel is it is VERY expensive IMHO.
22, you may want to try polishing the windshield with a good glass polish like Zaino (or your prefered brand) before applying the Aquapel as this may help the chettering. another suggestion may be to replace the blades.

I do not notice chatter since using the Aquapel product, this is why I stopped using other products like RainX. I do however have new wipers installed as starting to replace them annually with In Cabin Filter as part of maintenance.
I use Pinnacle XMT360 on a white pad with my PC on my glass and it really shines up. Polishes it up just like a fine piece of crystal, and water beads up and blows off so well I rarely ever need to use the wipers.
