Default Hit a box on the freeway.

Was driving my daily driver to work last Friday when all of a sudden, I hit a cardboard box. I tried to avoid it, but unfortunately I hit it leaving some nice scratches on my fender and hood.

I tried some Meguiars ScratchX and was happy with the results.

After all was said and done, this is what I ended up with. Not too bad for a daily driver.

polishing by hand will indeed offer some results, and often machine polishing can add to the experience. Scratches that the finger nails can decifer are the ones we really have to live with or bring in a professional. Nice work .. thankfully it was only cardboard !

While a definite improvement, and I'm not really sure what those pics are showing, I would say you are need of a machine polishing.
Look into the flex polisher.

I guess what I was trying to show was what ScratchX is capable of taking out and what it's limitations are hand were. I washed the car and these scratches were still there, so I used the least aggressive product to take care of a problem.

Considering what you started with I think that looks great !! I have some spots on the vette that I put there from the power cord on the leaf blower. Hope I do as well !!
