Default Removing dust

I'm looking for something to remove the dust from my 99. I don't feel like washing it every time I take it out of the garage for a spin. I see guys using those California dusters at car shows, so I assume they don't hurt the paint? Any suggestions?

I use one on my Vette and every car I've owned for the past decade or so. They don't hurt the paint and are the perfect tool for in between washes cleaning.

Cali duster here too. I've heard that it can give swirl marks but I've never seen that. I try to brush the same direction that I wash the car with to minumize swirls. A nice coat of glaze every one and a while deals with any possible swirls.

A duster used correctly won't leave swirl marks.....just pass it gently over the car with the bristle tips just touching the surface.

I don't see how using a California duster properly could cause swirl marks. Maybe "wax" marks off the duster, but no swirls.

I've used the California Duster for about 5 years and it hasn't scratched the paint yet. If you have a good coat of wax and spray it with something like Maguairs Detailer regularly the dust comes right off.

I have been using a California Duster on my 02 for 10 years and the paint still looks great.

I have a California duster and if you need when new to break it in (Needs to be wrapped in newspaper to catch it excess oil.) But since I broke it in it is really a tool/shop item you really need to keep the car clean. I have my car in my garage and I still get a little debris on my hood, the duster sweeps the hood and the overall the rest of the car. Clean as whistle.

California Car Duster for me for 10+ years. Don't use it on your wheels as the brake pad dust isn't good for the duster or your paint.

It can get dusty in Oklahoma so I use my duster at least once a week and wipe the brake dust off of the wheels with an damp old sock.

Ditto. Actually I only wash my car about 3-4 times a year (unless it rains). Lots of good wax, California Car Duster & Detailer every time I drive it.
