Thinking of setting myself up with Girots products, buffer, etc., but it doesn't seem like many of you use their products- Any reason? I like the idea of the kits that they sell as they include everything you need and I see they have a new and improved buffer coming out. Whats your take? Thanks in advance Jim
I think that many people group Griot's, Meguiar's (consumer products), and Mother's in the same kind of category -- good products but not in the same league as Adams, Zaino, Autogeek products, etc. When I first got my Vette last year I went to an auto parts store and picked up the Meguiar's stuff. I started reading more here and realized that there may be a whole other level of quality with the more expensive stuff. My own eyes have told me that's true, maybe not to the degree that I expected, but the better products seem to offer better quality.
An awful lot of enthusiasts use Griot's products. From my own experience Griot's products are uniformly excellent. They may be somewhat more expensive than most brands sold by mass marketers but if if you buy them from Autogeek using your discount for being a Corvette Forum member or direct from Griot's when they're running sales, you can save significantly.
I use Griot's...not exclusively...but for most purposes. Their random orbital is among the best...their waxes and polishes are as good as any and better than most. They may not carry the high price tags of many of the boutique brands or have a neat looking label but I doubt if you'll be unhappy with them.
I would suggest sticking with the car care products themselves. Their other products in their catalog may be nice, but you can find them elsewhere for less expense.
We sell alot of Griots products and I believe we help them get into more and more hands. You will find the wheel cleaner, interior cleaner, detail spray, buffer and more to be 1st rate products that are often offered. If you need help with a product or a possible review, just let us know.

Love my Griotts random orbital and a number of their products like car wash and wheel cleane, rubber cleaner and undercarrage spray. Use their sealant on my truck.
I buy a lot of other good stuff (wolfgang and pinacle) from autogeek too which I apply with my Griotts polisher and pads from autogeek.

In August of last year Adam's Premium Car Care Products was asked to be the Officially Licensed Car Care Products of the Corvette and Camaro. This year Adam's was asked to be the Preferred Car Care Products of Bloomington Gold. Look at the kits available at adamspolishes.com, view the videos, and select the one that's right for you.
If you need help call any Adam's team member and we'll be glad to help.

I also use lots of Griots products, but I buy from autogeek when they have the 15% off, free shipping, or buy one get one. Good luck on your choice !!!!
Griots has made improvements to their polisher over the years. They used to sell a Porter Cable version before going to their own, and it too has been upgraded. The original was weak in my opinion, but their last update seems to have more power in my experience. Same story with their 3" buffer. The original was really weak, but they have made improvements. The best thing is they stand behind their products. If you have a problem, they will take care of it.
I use the whole suite of Griots products from their polishes to their Best of Show wax. I also use their interior products, undercarriage spray, aluminum polish, and tire dressing.
Paint care is accomplished with their 3" and 6" random orbitals, and I'm pleased with the outcome.
When I was at Corvette Weekend in Ocean City MD at the car show, I had more than one person ask who had painted my car.
My reply... "The GM workers at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant."
"That, my friend, is 20 year old factory applied paint."
