Default C6 rear middle brake light

I noticed that there is wax build up lining the tiny letters on the red rear brake light. I used a tooth brush but it didn't come off. I am going to use a q-tip....what type of liquid should I use? isopropyl alcohol?

Thanks

I like to use a little APC and a paint brush, soft, with the bristles cut down about 1/2 way. Certainly brushes also are available.

If the wax/polish is stubborn, consider a little peanut oil. (seriously)

Once done consider using Plexus on a regular basis to protect taillamps, rear lights and more. It keeps them looking new and seems to help with quick cleanup if you get a little wax on them too.
