Default Paint correction

I have a big problem looking for some help! My C6 was in body shop and they covered it with a plastic cling wrap because it was left out side and the cling wrap stuck to body and when it was pulled off left a plastic residue all over top and one side of car. They compounded it and buffed but was not able to get it off my question is has any one ever had this happen and what product could be used to fix this problem Needless to say I am not happy! Thanks for any input!

This is the only compound I have seen that can remove the residue - 3M Rubbing Compound.
Even then I had to use Dewalt Polisher at 1400RPM's with a wool pad.
tried other combinations and they all failed miserably.

Yes.... Then you will need a polishing compund, Meguiar's 205 is perfect with your orange pad. The wool pad will create holograms, but remove the residue, the 205 will remove the holograms and polish up the surface.

I saw this happen at Bloomington Gold on a classic Corvette a few years ago, I tried polishing it out but with no luck. If I remember correctly the owner set it out in the Sun and after a while all the plastic (white marks) finally disappeared.
Hope this helps.
