Default Anybody try Blackfire SiO2 Spray Sealant?

I have been using Blackfire Crystal Seal paint sealant since I bought my Vette in 2015, but Blackfire has discontinued it and tells me the closest product they now have is their SiO2 spray sealant. My concern is that I have tried a different nano/ceramic product on my DD Pontiac G8 GT and while it keeps the car cleaner longer, it has a “rougher” dry finish, not slick like Crystal Seal.

Anybody try the BF SiO2 product and care to share some thoughts, ideally comparisons to Crystal Seal? Anybody switch to a different product from Crystal Seal and have some recommendations or thoughts on what to avoid?

Thanks!

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Sealant is similar to Blackfire Crystal Sealant. Wipe on, walk away.

That said, sio2 sprays are somewhat new. I've tried sio2 from Blackfire, McKee's, and CarPro. To me, they all work similarly. I really like products with sio2 and have no preference among them. But they are not the same WOWA application as WG DGLS or BF CS.

If you're looking for an alternative to BD CS, WG DGLS is it.

If you use that link and click on the picture at the bottom of the page of the product it takes you to another page that says right under the black car “discontinued”

If you use that link and go towards the bottom of the page to the picture of the sealant and clink on that it takes you to another page and under the black car towards the bottom it does say “discontinued” in red caps.

I have found Zaino Clear Seal to be very similar.

Thanks! Have you tried Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant? Is it worth the extra work?

DGPS is more durable. I would use DGLS as a topper to DGPS.

Does the BF SiO2 leave a smooth/slick finish like Crystal Seal did?

I’ve been using it since May. I love it. No fuss, I spray on a thick micro fiber applicator, wipe on a panel and wipe with a towel. Done. No waiting for it to dry like Zaino Clear Seal. The bottle will last me for many years!
i think it’s slicker then Clear Seal.
