okay so i sprung for some bead maker . put it on both vettes today . guess i'll see what it looks like tomorrow but right now i see little difference in shine between it and wolfgang rinseless wash .this is not a complaint just an observation . by the way , i don't think you folks have seen pix of wife's cars so i'll try to post a link but am not good on computer so it may fail . . peace and thanks for your helpful suggestions ......
Well there’s the problem!!! What’s a matter you. You can only do one car. The shine from both vehicle burned your retina’s. Don’t worry it only last’s overnight and they will return to normal.
Look again tomorrow but only 1 car. Then go stare at something bland. Then look at the other
Agree....I have those exact C6 wheels on my C5 and I think it made a world of difference in the overall look of the vehicle from the stock polished silver 5 spokes.
Definitely need to let it 'cure' a bit. I'm beginning to think that PSBM is about all I need to make the vehicle look great. The Vettes are fair-weather cars that have paint that is well-prepped so I expect a lot out of the product and it delivers. Durability is not up to what a coating offers, but it is easy and cost-effective to apply, and I'm always doing some detailing on the car anyway.
I also have a 2018 Camry daily driver that I bought off of a 2-year lease a year ago and have been slowly bringing the paint up to my standard although it's not there yet. Last week for grins after washing it I put a very quick application of PSBM on it. Two days ago I was driving it home in a heavy rain and put it in the garage. Came out the next afternoon expecting to see the typical aftermath of driving in rain only to find the car had dried without water spots and the car still looked like it had just been washed - no dirt or splash streaks, windshield clean without wiper marks.
I bought a gallon earlier in the summer using Amazon and somehow wound up with two gallons by mistake but no one seemed interested in taking a return on the second one.
does feel slick and i'm hoping it will be product that i had asked about in late winter . i was questioning why hood and top of her daily driver would still look clean after driving on sloppy roads and the sides of vehicle would be filthy . i asked about products to resolve the slop clinging to sides issue maybe this will help . i feel her daily driver is as shiny as the vettes now are with out yet getting the bead maker applied . thanks for your thoughts and comments . you have directed me to '' t w seal and shine'' , ''purl '' or ''perl'' , ''chemical guys synthetic q d '' , and now ''bead maker'' and i am pleased with all of them . still can't get it straight about which to use when . . .peace
Well I will tell you this. Personally I feel BM is more of a beauty product and does indeed in the short term produce’s impressive gloss and slickness ( this is a more common theme among sealants- as most, but not all coating’s feel a bit grabber). For the price it is a pretty good option no doubt but do not expect the best hydrophobic nor longevity properties from it. If you are going to a show on Sunday -Saturday would be a great time to apply it.
Properly prepped paint is really the key to great shine Plain and simple. All this product trial and trail again is great but in the end it’s a huge rabbit hole as there are many products that will achieve great results. Some better than others and in some cases you need a meter to see the results. There are many other factors that contribute to the experience though. Smell- look- ease on- ease off- longevity- hydrophobic’s - hydrophilic’s. Unless you are do it for a living-it’s fun to experiment and find what you like best. Fyr-Loki-Budget, etc do a great job of bringing you experience’s and sharing them. Your results may vary and can be expected to as we all have different vehicle conditions.
Due to the way air flows over a car- the horizontal surfaces will always self clean better than the vertical no matter what the product. There is no magic pill to make it all the same.

Nothing like the back end of a Corvette to let ya know your car isn't as clean as ya think it is 😄
Well I have to chuckle a little. Like some of you I have tried a gazillion products. I Have a core group of customers I have been maintaining vehicles for- for a long time. Let’s just say my last line of work provided very well . I did for awhile detail and paint full time but an offer came along that I would have been a bigger fool to turn down. Turning 59 this past year I decided to retire. 2 days later I went to work for someone around the corner as I was going stir crazy. 2022 my wife turns 55 and she will retire with a fantastic plan. We bought a place in the Mexican Caribbean and that will become home.
Sadly car care there is not even up to Stone Age techniques- and getting new supplies there is a hassle. I will sell all my cars and bikes and only bring down one. Buy a car there. Happily the Walmart in the next big town up- sell’s Sonax BSD, so I can at least have something besides what I bring down.
Oops- boy did I digress.
So Sunday I’m just getting over a real bad cold that had me sidelined for a couple days. Feeling like I was hung over- I thought “ man think I’m better now” Time to go wash something. I picked the car I don’t do much too.So I gave a quick wash and blow dry , then for sh*t’s and giggles I pull the unsued BM out. In 10 - well I’m lying 6 minutes the car is done. Back in to lay down.
I just passed her and thought “ wow she feels’ slick” and is shining pretty nice.
They I thought of the PA VS BM talk. In the short term for what it costs it does make it look and feel good. No doubt. Long term- not so good. On customers, after a maintenance wash I top with PA HG as it adds that shine they love and actually lasts a bit.
Both great products but entirely different reasons to use. I think of the BM more like a beauty wax and PA as beauty queen-we know she looks great but over time-not so much. BM is more of that “I need it now- who care about tomorrow”.
Rant over
While experimenting on my daily driver, I tried Bead Maker as the sole means of protection. I would say that just driving it daily, getting the occasional rain shower, and one or two washes, and it really starts to fade away. Maybe a month tops for still protecting the paint. The daily is due for a clean-up light polishing to prepare her for winter soon, and I have a new bottle of P&S Play Maker all-in-one that I am going to use. Supposed to have some polymer sealant in the mix, along with Bead Maker. I will let it cure for a day and then apply a topping of straight Bead Maker to see how long that will last. I figure, by the time it is dead, winter will be here, and I will apply my true winter protection of TW Hybrid Solutions products. I am a loyal Bead Maker fan, but understand that it isn't durable. I just love how easy it is to use, and how much gloss it adds. Such a perfect topper.
It is great stuff!! I bought a gallon. I love it! I don't use it as a drying aid. I wait until the car is completely dry, then spray a towel and whichever panel I am wiping down. No streaks, smears. Just smooth, slick shine! with an awesome scent and feel!!
That really is the best way to use it! Applied to a clean and dry car, the gloss and slickness is unbeatable. After finishing the outside, I take the damp microfibers to the interior and wipe down all the windows. Helps to keep them from fogging, and you get a little mango-licious Bead Maker smell on the inside.
