Quick Intro

I just wanted to let you guys know I am here for advice. I have been a professional detailer for 15 years and have seen nearly every problem known to man in relation to cars. I have also created problems, LOL, but have learned from some of the best professionals and am here to pass on that knowledge to you.
I WILL NOT endorse any products. But, like everybody I do have my favorites.
However I have used nearly every product known to man and offer you tips on maximizing your efforts on products you use as well as an array of tips for maximizing your efforts on your car overall.
I prefer not to reveive PM's related to car care because I think that if you have a problem everybody could benefit from your experience. However, if you have a problem that you are too embarassed about we can handle it in PM's and then I can post your question without crediting the red-faced individual.
My intentions do not include taking over the board or re-inventing the wheel, I only want to enhance your knowledge. My philosophy is something handed down to me from my dad: "There's never time to do it right, but always time to do it again". I hope to help you do it right THE FIRST TIME.
Got any special tips or approaches for detailing black cars (especially C5 vettes)? Mostly interested in your thoughts on prevention and treatment of minor swirl marks.

I love black cars! The one most important thing to NEVER do unless you absolutly have to is introduce an abrasive or pressure to your black paint.... really any paint, but most importantly not black paint. As you know every little scratch will be accentuated in the sun.
There are several excellent abrasive-free products out there that you can have great success with. Zaino, of course, comes highly reccommended but Zymol, Pinnacle, P21S and Lusso have some excellent systems that yield some fantastic results.
That said I should really clarify what a swirl actually is. I will start a new string to cover this topic because I see this term being tossed around and being wrongfully used.
