Detailing the underside
This took many hours today, I got the car up on quick jacks, removed all wheels and went to town using the stuff here in the photos. Thanks to the forum members for suggesting these cleaning tools.
I bought one for just foaming the underside and the other for pressure washing . I didn’t feel like changing the nossels in the middle of cleaning .
All in all it went well, the control arms will need to be polished with a wire wheel to get clean. I put a coat of wax on the wheel barrels and clayed the car.
That was enough work for the day, I still have to polish and wax the car another day. I burned a lot of calories today 💪

Much cleaner than what it looked like previously.
I am thinking 25 years of never been cleaned.
After it was all dry, I decided to use Eastwood matte black encapsulator on all the metal pieces.
There was a few rust spots starting so I decided to hit it early before it spreads.
It was expensive stuff but it worked out well.

That said, I keep top and bottom detailed of both our DD's. This Acura is only at 20k miles, so spotless underneath. Her last two Acuras hit 130K and 90k. Both remained nearly spotless underneath at trade in.
Just this past weekend I was under my GMC Sierra Denali of 86k miles, detailing it, doing the wheel barrels, etc. Neither DD gets under roof protection at any time unless it's the banks drive-thru. There is a Chevelle in the garage and it's not giving up it's blankie for the likes of one of these two.
@tractman , where did you come up with the wheel stand? I have not seen one quite like that. Most want you to lean the tire backwards onto two vertical rollers. Then the tire walks off if spun enough.
Thanks in advance.
