Default NFX question

My car has several coats of Zaino on it from when it was put away last fall. How do i prepare the surface if I want to try the new NTX wax?

My only question is why are you making the switch? You've broken the back of the car care cycle by doing the initial Zaino application.

You'd have to do the entire surface prep for NXT including removing your Zaino to get the full results of NXT.

You're now into the reapplication procedure of Zaino and that's actually quite easy.

I didn't strip off the Zaino and love the results. Try it and see for yourself. I don't know why folks are so reluctant to try new things. You never know what you may find.

I think it OK to put the NXT over the Zaino, but not vice versa.

People have put NXT over Zaino and gotten good results. Besides if it has the "abrasives" in it that some speak of then it should remove the Zaino.

To be sure NXT has abrasives in it, albeit very mild abrasives. Before anyone flies off the handle about the "mild abrasive" in it, remember, in the strictest sense a terry cloth towel, pieces of nylon hosiery, or even a piece of linen, can be considered "abrasive" and thus could be used to "abrade", the same as steel wool and sandpaper can be considered "abrasive". But common sense tells us that one is considerably more harsh than the other.

I put a coat of NXT over 2 coats of Zaino on my CE, and the results were great. In fact, I have some left over Zaino I want be using if anyone is interested. :D
