DX-330 will do the trick, but was not able to remove all the wax build up even Z2 which left streaks on my clear coat. That is why I used the DX-330. After applying DX-330, I put one coat of Scratch X, two coats of Meguire's #2 Deep Crystal Polish, and one coat of NXT. View the results yourself.
The watch pic shows 12:35, but the spot is the reflection of the flash and angle of the pic I was holding the camera, and the pic of me in the vette shows how a great looking NXT vette could make even me, an old man look good....
Dawn WILL NOT remove Zaino and you never have to remove Zaino and start over with Zaino. Since Zaino is optically clear there is never any reason to remove it and start over. You can have 100 coats of Zaino if you'd like. Dawn is made to remove grease, oil, etc from dishes. Since Zaino does not have any oils, wax, or carnaubas in it as in other waxes polishes, dawn will not remove Zaino.
Clay will also NOT remove Zaino unless you make numerous passes with it using excessive pressure. A normal use of Clay will not remove Zaino.
If you have to remove Zaino it can be done by using a wax/grease remover or by using isopropyl alcohol
If you want to try another product you should remove Zaino so that you can get an accurate reading on the new product your using. If you put another product over Zaino and that product only last a few weeks or washings your car will still shine and be protected, but it will be the Zaino that you are looking at, not the new polish that you applied and is now gone.
Crusher has it correct. Dawn WILL NOT REMOVE Zaino. It gives the appearance it has but a quick wash with Z-7 will bring the shine right back.
And, as Crusher stated Clay Bar does not remove Zaino. A Clay floats on a micro surface of lubricant, which should not let the bar actually touch the paint surface. It is going to remove contaminants stuck to the paint, which are above the surface, and while it may touch the naked surface periodically and scuff the top coat slightly, a quick coat of Z-2 or Z-5 will bring the shine right back. It's simplified, but you get the idea.
Any good commercial paint prep - Prep-Sol being one, or a mix of 50% water/50% Isopropyl Alcohol will do the trick and not hurt the finish. I have done this multiple times to playing around with different ideas on applications or trying out towels/applicators and have never had a problem.

Re: Remove Zaino ? (RABVET4272002)
Claybar will remove everything.
Ooooops. I'm sure what you meant to say is that it will remove everything that's on top of your Zaino. ;)
Dawn should do the trick for you.
My detailer uses Dawn about one a year. He claims it clears all build up.
Your detailer would be wrong then.
Sorry, I know I'm here just :beatdeadhorse: but I didn't want to miss out on all the fun!
Sometimes it is necessary to start from the beginning though..... with any product. A car can get little blemishes here and there and begin to wonder what's going on with their paint and attempt to resolve the issue by grabbing and abrasive when it can be quite easily fixed by remove the surface protection.
Each case should be addressed on an individual basis.
