You need the barometer (absolute), temperature, and the humidity (vapor pressure). My weather station calculates it automatically. I understand that different manufacturers use slightly different algorithms to come up with their numbers. For racing consistency, only one source of data and formula should be used. The radio, weather station, or other source of off site info can only get you close enough for bragging rights. Although not the norm, the DA can change in seconds.
Try looking at TAG weather systems... many racers at E Town use it & swear by them.. I use it... & I can vouch for its accuracy... however like any computer what you get out depends on what you PUT IN...
i have a general weather station, but not a race specific one (have always bummed of someone else lol). guess i just need to spend the money
Just make sure you bum your information off of the same machine. Even different units of the same brand vary. The differences in brands can be staggering. The difference in readings doesn't hinder their usefulness, as long as you stick to the same unit.
