What should my et & trap speed be in the 1/4 mile with the following mods on my 2002 Zo6 and with an experienced driver?
Vararam VB2, Kooks 1 3/4 longtube headers and high flow cats, carbon fiber power duct and retuned the computer on the dyno. SAE rwhp is 386 at 6500 rpm and max torque is 372 @ 5000 rpm. I also plan to use M/T et street radials. Anyone have this setup and seen mid 11's?
What times you achieve with that set up is much more dependent on how well you drive it than the precise number of rwhp/rwtq it's making.
I've got about 100 passes in the mid-11s with 20+ less rwhp than you now have. So certainly the car is capable of 11.3+, and one-two tenths better if you add a stronger aftermarket clutch; the determinant will be your driving, the DA and track conditions.
Here is another thread that bears on your question:
I race at the corvette challenge at raceway park, nj. Track conditions are usually very good. Previously, I raced my 91 L98 383 stroker w/ TCI street fighter trans. 12.09 113mph w/ 1.64 60'
This 2002 Zo6 Is my new racer and am trying to get used to a clutch instead of an auto trans all these years.
Made 3 passes at the last challenge on july 9th and my best was 12.42 @113 mph w/a 1.89 60'
I made quite a few mistakes shifting and launching. Hope to hit the 11's next time.
Can anyone help with a few tips????
Thanks, read that many times. Seat time seems to be the best solution, but after reading all the threads, I guess 12.40 @ 113 Isn't all that bad the first time out!!!

Show up Saturday (at the CC), there will be plenty of us there to give you tips.
I went last year hoping to get into the 11's. The guys coached me to an 11.72 with the same mods you have...
I have previous plans on sat, but the next week I'll be there for the rain make up. Forgot to mention that I also have a breathless short throw shifter.
I will be glad to help you out at the makeup corvette challenge on the 30th. I think your goal should be a sub 12 pass to start. Your tires are good for 1.5x on a well prepped track with the proper launch technique. It's gonna be hot and humid so your can add .6 to the time your car is capable of. Lets shoot for 11's. Usually dr. Ron and myself are roaming around helping out.
Thanks, I really look forward to both of your help, because I really need It. We probably have seen each other at the cc races or even talked. My previous vette was a 1991 Turquoise which raced many times the last 3 years at the cc. Fast car, lousy driver LOL
Good luck tomorrow at the track!!!
