The team tried something different this weekend....the Grump is still watching behind the scenes. NOT the power they needed this time
I heard they were running a different power plant. Seems like with all that money the boss would step in and put a stop to the BS and get Dave some power.
Fuzzy and I were discussing the possibility of a Greg, Jason and Dave team. They would own the tracks.
I just heard, on NHRA Today, that they are running Greg Standfield power this week only. Grumpy is in the dyno room getting ready for Indy in 2 weeks. Dave did not qualify this weekend.
I used to think that too but have changed my mind. He's so far off what the top guys are running that I think it has to be more than setup. I know if it was my money running the team I wouldn't tolerate this kind of performance. Heads would be rolling.
I think it's a little of both, but more the set up than anything. I also think the move with the different engine for a week was a mistake & now that they couldnt qualify I bet they would agree

I might agree but how can 16 cars have a better set up than them ?...given, it was with an unknown motor but what about the last few months ?....the chassis and tune up are pretty much the same for all the doorslammers...the NHRA sees to that...
I give the Grump all the respect in the world for his past accomplishments...I have to agree with Special K here, though...I just can't see it being a clutch, chassis or driver issue...I honestly hope it is not the motors because I don't believe they can overcome that problem this year...
