Average race weight???
had the opportunity to get me car weighed.
1/2 tank fuel
3445lbs. (street trim), no weight reduction. have a rollbar in it. with a full bottle (25lbs total)
i doubt the rb weighs much more than 80.
this would come out to be somewhere close to 3340 . does this sound about right?
00 c5 a4, maggy.
EDIT: reasons for asking is because im trying to find a hp rating with this. the pull was 1.55 60ft. 10.66@128.51.
thanks

Estimated C5 Curb weight (full fluids, no passengers or cargo)
Coupe - 3246
Convertible - 3248
Hardtop - 3173
Although I also see a base curb weight of 3221 lbs on another page.
My 98, Convertible, A4, (2)Magnesium rims - (2) wagon wheels, 3/4 tank of gas, Me (170lbs), all kinds of crap in the trunk, always around 3500# on E-towns scale.

To calculate CHP you have what you need, i.e. launch weight & trap speed:
CHP = (mph / 234)^3 * weight

leaves me about 175lbs for the rb, harness, etc, and adding the maggy to the mix...seems pretty close.

From that page:

Your 98 Corvette weighs about 3440 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 11.05 seconds. That means that you've got about 503.92 HP at the wheels, and about 655.09 HP at the flywheel.
