DR issues
I'm used to spinning in 1st, but I attribute that to my lack of experience launching a 6spd. Fri, I was spinning badly in 2nd and in 3rd (80+mph) when the boost kicked in.
Here is what I did. Rolled through the water, spun tires in 2nd gear for apx. 2-3 seconds, then launched at around 1600 - 1800rpm - feathering the clutch a bit. I didn't spin terribly when I went to 2nd or 3rd, but as soon as the boost kicked in, the tires broke loose.
I tried going around the water, but same result.
The tires have about 5k miles on the road and three trips to the strip. There is still about 1/4" of tread on them.
Any thoughts? Longer burnouts? Tires have gotten too hard?
edit: I've tried 16 - 20psi. Friday was 16psi

Dr's are probably good for up to 425-450 RWHP..
Beyond that, you're just gonna roast em, especially w/ OVER 500 RWHP.
Probably need slicks to hook..
Here's my best shot at the moving parts and vid of a burnout without a line lock.
With properly heated tires, if you still spin on the shifts, you will need to be judicious on the speed of the shifts and the throttle position on each on...or switch to ET Street bias-bly rears.
Also, the experiments I've done with BFG 315s showed that at psi lower than 18, the tread begins to cup, reducing the contact patch.
So I'd suggest going to 18 psi and ensuring the tires are properly heated and check the results again.

I'm going to Dinwiddie on Friday. NHRA is there this weekend, so no track excuses this time.
One race last friday night, I trapped 126. Same as the guy next to me. My ET 12.05, his 10.90.
He had an auto trans with slicks.
