Default ET question

Can I get ya'lls thoughts on my times? I know my 60' are slow. I am taking it easy launching since I dont have DTE brace and output shafts yet. However, my mph still seams really high compared to my ET. Is there something I may be doing wrong, wrong gears (stock Z gears), etc???

I average around 11.28 @ 127.5mph. 60's are around 1.85.

It does seem like mph is little high but that means to me that your ET is too high for the MPH

You have some gain in the 60' and in shifting since you are taking it easy and then the numbers should come more in line

Agree w/Edgar, you should be able to hit 10's with harder launches and quicker shifts

I assume that this is a stick car.. The mph is a little higher than you'd expect with that ET but not by a lot.. Stick cars usually trap 5 - 6 mph higher than automatic cars with the same ET..
I've run 11.67 @ 119.79 mph with the 5-speed and my old 383... After I switched to automatic and the 406, I initially ran about 11.10 @ 120 mph... Same mph but about 6 tenths faster....

I read somewhere (of course I don't remeber where ) that if you multiplied your et times the mph, a perfect run would total 1320. So to that (and if it is so) Edgars and Chris' estimate of 10 (10.35 to be exact) would be the target with a trap speed of 127.5 MPH.

Higher than 1320 and you are not getting good traction/launch and lower than 1320 says you are losing top end.

Again, I read this. Your Mileage may vary

I believe this applies more to autos.
