Records?!?
Does anyone have any information on Corvette 1/4 mile record? I am very interested in the record for a stock bodied C-3. You know with stock dash and all glass and full street moldings and functional lights and all that fun stuff. I think we all need to start looking at the records a little bit closer considering Paul Major is knocking on the door of a very special title and Angelo made a very impresive run at the end of last year. Anyone with a C-3 that matches this description and a time slip faster than 7.9 please contact me i am very interested in hearing from you. Is anyone else currently holding any records on this forum? We need to start giving these racers a little more credit, they are really doing some amazing things.

Problem with records is we all are not on the same playing field all the time. For example your post asks for full street moldings...that is very specific. If a car has no molding because it was repainted it would not be eligible for your version of the record.
Very hard to keep track of those things without a sanctioning body overseeing the equality of the records.
There are many impressive runs on here including Boweryboy's IRS record but is it the same as anyone else's car cause he has no steering wheel air bag?
Then there is the people who don't post on the forum. We saw some very impressive cars at the National Corvette Challenge in Richmond that never post on here.
With that said, what record are you saying Major is approaching cause I thought he owned them all.

The fastest LSx blocked car was what he was talking about last year but i don't know if that is still the case. i know its hard ok so lets take out full moldings but leave full frame and semi stock interior and all glass. now who has the fastest C-3 i am just interested in some impressive numbers so everyone else can see what these guys are doing. The fastest backhalved C3 that I know of is Big632's.. His C3 would be capable of 6's but the fastest he is allowed to go is 7.50 as he'd need a tube chassis for any ET's faster than 7.50...

The fastest STOCK (style) SUSPENSION (IRS) C3 is 2000A4 (Greg Eaton)with his 1970 Coupe. His best to date was 8.58 @ 161.17 mph..

There's a C4 somewhere that runs 8.40's with the IRS and Boweryboy is somwhere in the 8.60 range with the IRS. I hope to be in the high 8's with my new setup on a 250 shot (coming soon) and 9's on engine..
