Ok I have a friend who has a 1993 MR2 with all racing suspension and exhaust and all. his car makes like 170 stock with the stock turbo. He just shipped it out and got it worked on. He upgraded the turbo and intercooler, and ot it tuned and is pushing 270 to the wheels. He said he can beat me easily and easily beat my dads C6 too. is this true?
Could be. You can do insane things with the MR2. Especially the MkII cars. The MkI cars, like the '88 I had are a little tougher to tweak. But again, I say... You really can't win anyway. If you beat him, you beat a Toyota. If he beats you, he beat a Corvette. How would the race benefit you, even if you won?
Just let him think he can beat you. He'll always wonder... Unless he stomps you.

The visual of that is damn funny.
Actually, whether his car will beat a '93 or a C6 depends on what he's talking about. Quarter-mile drag? Top end? autocross? Willow Springs? Silver State Classic?
If it's an acceleration contest (and it usually is), then it will come down to drivers between you and him....but he probably has the quicker car, marginally.
As far as the C6 goes; I'm with TheAngel.
well in my opinion run him an if your stock an he beats you but not by alot just tell him an hed wonder...also that car was pretty much 2times lighter then your c4..the car is like half of the size of the vette haha...to tell you the truth i wouldnt kno...theres a red one around here that im dieing to run but all he does is do lil ricer fly bys an when im ready he doesnt even look at me...pretty sad...but go for it!!

Is the MR2 black with titanium colored wheels. If so, a lot more talk than action.

I think the only way to compare two different cars..is to compare them in stock form. Take the highest horsepower car available from one manufacturer, and compare it with the highest horsepower car from another, using the same model year.
When you start modifying cars, there are too many variables to compare them fairly. Sure, you can modify an MR2 to put out 600HP, maybe for 5 minutes....but is that really the true nature of that car? Just my opinion
he'll be under 13 seconds with a decent hookup, I've seen those cars tear their drivetrain apart when they get in that range.
Should be a good race against a C6. He should be well above any non-ZR1/b2k stock vette.
Race him at the dragstrip, getting boost at the launch for him will be the trick, you should be able to pull him at the line and hold on for the win. Maybe.

You have one major problem even if you win. You are running your dad's car and he is running his own. He will always hold it against you.
Besides that only race from a dead stop and you will have the edge.
