Hello guys I never posted in this part of the forum before . but i figured this would be the place to ask what do you guys use to remove the ruber off the back of your cars after a day at the track ? I went to the track for the first and second time this week at atco . I am just a beginner but went both Tuesday and thursday night just to get the feel for the car . had a great time there ... and will go back just not sure what to use to get the rubber off. thanks for the tips.
First if you don't want it there get it off as fast as possible. If it stays a while it will take a long time to get off.
Some guys are using blue painters tape to protect the sides of the car and then it peels off and you are done.
Some will spray pam, the cooking stuff on it before racing and wash it off.
Some use a product called burnout guard that does the same thing
I leave it on all the time and twice a year I take it off but have to use WD40 and it melts it and it is a nasty mess.
Wd40 sounds like the ticket for now to get it off and next tuesday Ill sprayer up with some pam before hittting the track thanks for the fast reply's. Any good tipps for improveing my 60' times ? still running on the runcraps
Just use your hands to rub it off...
Peels right off..
Sprays etc, just make a mess..
Trust me, just use your hands or get a kid to do it...
They love to!

Beautiful car by the way but Iam sure you heard that before.
He has never heard that before. It is a ME TO CAR.
I use the GEDDEX BURNOUT GUARD and I am also a GEDDEX distributor. When you spray it on, You don't see it on the paint. When you arrive at home or near a hose after racing, Spray the water on the rubber and it falls off the car without leaving any discolor of the paint.
Do NOT spray PAM on...it is an awful mess to get off...I have tried that as well as the tape and the Burn Out Guard...I now use a product made by 3M...it is called Liquid Mask...comes in a gallon jug and is sold at paint supply stores...seems pricey at $38 per gallon but, used full strength, will last a long, long time...I have over a half gallon left and have been to the track 100 times so far...I'm thinking the gallon will last for 250 trips to the track...for me that is about 5 years per gallon...
Auto Body paint shops use this stuff for overspray...I just apply it with a small sponge on each panel the night before I race...I have left the rubber on for 2 weeks and it still just comes right off with a hose...amazing stuff...
