Default Which Shift Method

I've never dragged, but I'm curious about what my car can do. I'd like to go to a Test & Tune event to find out. It would probably be a once in a lifetime thing, just for bragging rights.

I have an 08 A6 with NPP. I'm probably not going to bolt on anything for speed ever, but it's already been tuned and has a 160 thermostat and a Vortex Ramair CAI.

Would I race in the normal automatic mode, Sport Mode, or Competetive Mode for fastest 1/4 mile speed?

Should the NPP be open all the time? I have the Mild 2 Wild installed so I could open the butterflies if I want that or let them open by themselves.

Thanks

You better hurry...our track closes for renovations after our last event 5/17. Try to come up to the Corvette Challenge on 5/17 and there will be plenty of guys to bench race and give you tips.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2008880

If you miss it there's Countyline 1/8 mile.

Most auto guys I know leave it in drive and go. Competition mode (two presses on the traction button). Traction will be an issue with street tires, you'll likely have to ease into the gas off the line.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks Joe. I'm going to try to be there.

I noticed on the Moroso site that you need a helmet if you're going to run under a certain time, 13.5 I think it said. Can I rent a helmet there?

If I only run once I'd hate to buy one.

You sure can! Welcome to our group, I hope you make it. We have a great bunch of friends that race and hang out together to chat all things Corvette. And nutrition. lol
