..... t'was the 2nd time-shot at Joliet this evening, and drc doesn't print-out the RT during qualifying.

Check-out the incrementals, and note that Anderson was almost 2 MPH slower at 660', yet ran an identical speed at the 1320'-mark

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.726/205.10, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.745/205.01, Was #13
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.726/205.10, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.733/204.45, Was #5

This is a great drag race as they both have identical reaction times, elapsed times and mph, but Coughlin gets the number one spot because the timing system had Coughlin getting to the finish line first.

Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.804, 660ft-4.322/160.90mph, 1,000ft-5.626

Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.808, 660ft-4.322/162.65mph, 1,000ft-5.626

Reaction times were EXACT also... the timer must have gone to the 4th digit.0001 to see who crossed the line 1st...

Good-catch..... I missed that completely.

I think a modern-day Compu-Link can detect a 'true-winner' up-to 7 decimal-places out

WOW THAT IS AMAZING!! does anybody have any idea how much jeg won by..it must be less than an inch. A friend commented after seeing this post that you stage w/the front tires, but any part of the car that crosses the finish line first wins (front spoiler??)

'Distance-of-Victory' is usually calculated by determining how-far the 2nd car to the stripe travels, at the speed shown, in the time shown as 'Margin-of-Victory' :
since M-o-V isn't shown here, I don't believe the D-o-V can be figured.

and, YES, the chin-spoiler/front-bumper can trip the win-light.

At that speed .001 sec. = 3.6 in.

If I remember correctly, from many years ago, the finish line lights are set at the same height as the starting line lights. All the rest are allowed some minimal deviation.
