your car have a power adder? if so it doesnt matter how quick the et. you'll need a jacket.
Only if you have N20 or Methanol. If not then its based on times. I ran a 11.3 last time and they said i needed a jacket and cage. Yet my brother was running 12.8's in his srt 4 but had NOS and they said he needed a jacket and pants and wouldnt let him run again because of the spray.
Your gonna need lots of things on your car and yourself if your planning on running 9's!!
I bought my jacket at summit racing. It was a G Force. very reasonable like 70 bucks or so and meets all specs.

Summit is a good place.
I would double check on that "rule" our home track enforces if it didnt come stock then it is a power adder and that is the track he will be racing at occasionally.
But I think IHRA rules are alittle more lenient. Anyone know what mph & ET that requires a cage, fire suit & license at a IHRA track?
Is it the same as NHRA?
That is wishful thinking. I don't have a book but am pretty sure it is the same at 11.49 you need a jacket, bar and belts. Besides, he is racing with us in the Pro 10
you'll need a Suit or pants and jacket if you run 9's.. If you run faster than 11.5, you will need a jacket. I do have a large, blue with white stripes jacket that I'd sell for $30..

not the cheapest, but one of the best values is Stroud
Good choice... I use Impact myself (used to use Simpson, but after the debacle that was Earnhardt that forced Bill Simpson out... no longer will I patronize Simpson)

I run at Miland Dragway (IHRA) and those are the rules for 11.49 to 9.99 cars, also a Snell 2000 or better helmet is required.
RJS jackets are the nuts. You can customize the color combo and the NOMEX light weight material option is great in the summer.

I still wear a simpson helmet, and i have a simpson one layer jacket. But after working in the industry I will be doing business with stroud on everything except helmets ( i have been on my head several times when go kart racing, all wearing simson products. I have never had an injury. Plus their styling is cutting edge)
