Default NHRA Seating

At a NHRA National event where are the best seats in your opinion and why?

Starting line, 100 foot, 1/8 mile etc.

Thanks

EXACTLY Myself & Doug Doring (he has the 8 sec. Diesel pick up) have had the exact same seats at E Town & Reading Pa. for the national events.. Row Z (Top Row) seat # 140, 141, 142, for Fri. Sat. & Sunday..

these seats are about 40-50 feet past the 60' clocks.. At the top row no-one is standing behind you spilling food etc, and you get a nice breeze, you can stand up and lean against the fence, and look down at the "eye candy"

We only need 2 seats, but always buy a child seat (under 8) its $10 a day and it gives us a little more hip room, or an extra seat if a friend should stop by...

Once in awhile we'll walk down to the 1000' clocks to watch a few runs from there, but most of the time we're at the 60' clock .. TOP ROW!

Jpee, I gotta ask if you're starting to have problems making it to the top row? I always sit in the top row at about the eighth for reasons you have already stated.

At the Gatornationals this year I didn't think I would ever get up there. I was there for all 4 days and I felt like I was climbing Mt. Everest. Next year I think I'll have to sit in a lower row which shouldn't be a problem with the small amount of spectators attending these events.

NHRA better wake up!

We go on Friday to the Gators...a lot of folks don't know it but from the 1/8 to the finish are not reserved seating and are much less money...we sit at the 1/8 mile...I think we pay $26 per ticket...

When we would go to the Gators, we used to sit in the Mac Tools 301 Club seats at the finish line (long gone now)... that was always the best seat for watching the "boring" .90 cars as well as getting an idea of just how fast the Fuel cars were.

Been back once (two years ago) and sat at the 330. Not really a bad seat (at least at Gainesville).
