Great, I can go back. To bad I missed the party. I would have brought the sparklers.
Not entirely true, I won round 1...but I did go out in round 2 LOL.
The guy who took me out almost won the whole damn thing as well by the way, he was runner up out of all of those cars.
True, both you and Steve C. ran .508s (11.508 and 12.508 respectively) putting you at number 2 and him at number 4 I believe. Number 1 qualifier Michelle was the one that took Steve W. out in round 3 when they both went red, although there were some questions about the accuracy of the tree on that one (she mentioned it to Steve first), she said that she's never gone red before in her life.
I'm wondering if that's what happened with you as well Rob, that baffled feeling that you're having may be for good reason, that red light might not have actually been your fault.

I know I did not go red. I saw the tree flash and then I went. Will try again next year.

While I personally didn't seem to experience any issues with the tree (though, by Saturday my lights (.06, .03, .05) did seem to get mysteriously better than they were the day before which could fit in with this theory), Steve also believes that he really shouldn't have gone red either, I'm sure he'll talk to ya more about it on Saturday. Normally one might think that he was merely making excuses but this time he (and Michelle) just might be on to something.
Well i think i got to Colorado before Steve got to. He did do it right though.
Even though you (with a trailer) and I (without a trailer) had left at different times and were ending up in different parts of NJ, I think we both arrived home at almost the exact same time (roughly 5:20pm?) yesterday LOL.

well i did take two naps and had a wonderful breakfast at Cracker Barrel.

I took only one nap (in the back parking lot of a Hampton Inn in Ohio about 400 miles into the trip) but really could've used another one not long after passing through Carlisle PA, I was in bad shape at that point LOL.
I did get to accomplish a long time goal of visiting the site of the 9/11/01 Flight 93 crash in Shanksville PA. While it wasn't exactly the mood I was seeking after such an exciting/uplifting weekend, I've felt drawn to that site for years now and just had to go. Not too far off the PA Turnpike on this trip either.
Took me 28 hrs to get home. (only slept 4 of those)
Trailer was all over the road, stopped at every exit to make adjustments which never helped.
At one stop I put my head under the trailer (after I came back from buying a coffee) to inspect the trailer axles and a trailer tire blew out (BANG!!!!) on the other side. Scared the sheit out of me.
I just laughed, changed the tire and continued on like it was normal operating procedure.
Stopped at a Ford Dealer to have the front end checked out, four hours later and $740 poorer I thought the problem got fixed.
Next exit, $920 & two more hours I got The Equalizer Sway Control Hitch installed. That corrected the problem (which I never had until this trip)
Including the $760 stop for a second set of rear tires (first set was installed 1 day before the trip) I racked up over 3K in towing expences.
Jay, you need to post your entire story; from start to end... It may be a book by the time you finish it, but will be excellent reading from one heck of an adventure!!! I am amazed at some of the things we were able to pull off with the cars (at the track), in addition to what it took to get them to the track (and home). What you went through deserves some kind of plaque.
As for us: We stayed one more night at the Ramada and then left Monday morning, first driving a few hundred miles north to the Quad Cities area (my old stompin grounds)... went and saw the house where I grew up, toured the area and then headed east via the northern route (began heading east around 5 PM on Monday from the Illinois / Iowa border area). We then drove overnight, all the way to PA where I finally had to stop and take a one hour nap at some rest area (around 6:30 AM), drank a few gallons of coffee, tried some of the 5-Hour energy crap (I found out that it does not work for me) and then, with sheer determination, completed the trip, arriving back home this afternoon around 1:50 PM.
Passed out, just woke up a bit ago, need to eat and then will try to unpack some stuff... leaving the car on the trailer tonight (too toasted to do much more - So much for the "waxer" in me).

Oh man.

I really enjoy it when a bunch of us roll out from the East and race together at a different venue.
I stayed another night, left Monday morning and drove straight through, got home about 4:am Tuesday morning.
I have been fighting a cold for about 2.5 weeks and didn't feel 100%.
Like Farley, I saw the flash and don't believe I went red.
My opponent actually told me that the lights were messed up.
She (the number 1 qualifier) also went red and she said no way, because she was shallow.
Shawn said the results were messed up too, first 1320go said I won, then it said I lost, when he went back to see the next round?
(I took the stripe) My 10.61 to her 10.62.
Cartek said they were watching too and that the system went all funky when my race took place?
So who knows? No sour grapes on my end. I just hope I didn't lose when I could have won?
My opponent said I should have protested the race. She said she was ready for a re-run.
I thought that was very nice of her. She deserved the win after that.

Next year, we load up my car and your car into the ECS rig, pay a driver to bring em' out there, and we fly out in Peter's corperate jet.
