Rob has already said he will be all business at the shootout but they might be going in there separated by less than a round.
The points have been updated and Rob is still in good shape, though still not sure how the 'drop one race' thing is going to mix it up:

1 Rob Farley 1785
2 Don Dixon 1480
3 Nicholas Massengale 1065
4 James Rowlett 1035
5 Bobby Barrick 955
6 David Saunders 890
7 Stan Dempsey 885
8 Brian Palcisko 880
9 Keith Vaughn 810
10 Ray Bulach 780

There is a piece missing in the points view Marc. Of course it don't matter cause Rob is just going to win it out.

What makes it close is one race of four gets dropped.
AT this point, Rob would drop a race worth 400 and Don a race worth 200 so they are 200 closer than the points show. Same happens if you look at the efi points....really not a realistic picture. (hint, this is what makes race drops hard..fire suit on)

Also there might be a discrepancy in the points too as it looks like Rob got 400 and Don 700 but Rob had said he went to the semis so the difference should have been 200 not 300

Guys, Stan Dempsey (#7) is one of our form Florida Corvette Challenge racers

Either way, 1) Don is very good but I have confidence in Rob to get it done and 2) from a spectator (which I hope the rest of won't be until at least round 3 or 4 LOL) it will probably be THE MOST exciting LSx Shootout Rumble/Index class racing in the event's 5 year history (this being the first one with a point series' behind it of course).
And don't rule out that Nick Massengale guy either, he will be there and he's pretty good (he took me out in round 2 last year) even while rowing gears.
