Tire pressure
I run Toyo TQ drag radials on 18x10.5 rims. I use to run at 15-16 PSI and got pretty good traction. With the new engine I just spin the tires at that pressure. So I dropped to 14PSI and the car did much better but still spun. Several people have told me to drop to 12-13psi and make another pass. My question is how low is to low? I have no desire to hit the wall because I let out to much air. I did not let them use any tire lube when they installed the tire on the rims.

I don't know what kind of power you're making, but I neverr went below 18psi - typically 20 when I was using the Toyo TQ.
A radial tire you don't want to be that low. What size tire and how much power is your car?

There could be some rare isolated cases where it
might be 'ok' to go lower than 20psi (say with 15" drag radials perhaps?) but for the most part

The run above is at 14 psi and this run is at 16psi. the run above is a 6.9 the run below is a 7.8.
this was a 7.4 @ 16psi and I rolled into the throttle to keep traction and I did not load the stall

I recommend switching to a Hoosier 335/30r18 for the track at your power level.

my 315/35-18 rub the fenders just a little already so there is no way a 335 would fit.

For some reason I thought you had a C6Z...the 335 is shorter, are you lowered?

I just bought some 17" wheels and a set of 275/40-17 Hoosier slicks.
