Seems like 9 sec street cars are all over the place nowadays. And not just Vettes and Supras. What impresses me most (aside from driving skills) is how durable these cars are and how much did it cost to build them.

The list are about what I said to begin with. I would have expected a 427 lsx with 20+ pounds of boost to be leading the list in the low 8's or better but I don't see that. Thus I'm relay not able to decide where to put my money as it seams a lot can be spent and not do much good. The finer points almost outweigh all the big investments... Maybe I'll quit building cars for a while and go back to building guns. A while at the tracks will help me figure out what I want to build next. BTW it will be American. I respect our Japanese friends and all, Especially their women, but I refuse to own their rice-cars I mean race-cars.

Oh, apparently you must've missed this one then?

1) 7.756 @ 183.71 1.27 atomicfusion. 2007

Or these guys all running 402 cubic inches (and all used stock/factory OEM production LS blocks) or smaller?
Not low 8s of course but all of these cars below can (and some even have) easily run in and win any of those 'True Street' type of events where one drives around for 30-40 miles (highway and city) and then make three back to back passes with no changes to the car other than tire pressures.

1) 8.887 @ 160.05 - Arun@CCP

1) 8.46x @ 155.xx - 4DRUSH (364 cubic inches)
2) 8.54x @ 164.97 - bloweryboy
3) 8.63x @ 154.xx - Doug @ ECS
4) 8.874 @ 155.29 - STEALTH 99 C5

At these links to the "fast list"

I do not see 7.756 on the master list. I assumed the first post is a master list and updated when new entries are made but perhaps not. forgive this ignorence I didn't read every post to the list. Later I will do so. Perhaps I need to clear my cache also. I'll try that aswell.

True, those lists are just C5s/C5 Z06s only.

Here are the C6/C6 Z06/C6 ZR1 lists as well:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...challenge.html

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...fast-list.html

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...fast-list.html

Even more impressive than most of the forced induction ETs among the entire C6 line is the 'bolt ons only' and even 'bone stock' results. Only a small handful of production cars on the planet can match or beat some of these C6 Z06/C6 ZR1 times with similar mods and they all cost tens (even hundreds) of thousands more as well.
Let's not even get into interior room, ride comfort and fuel economy.
Toyotas don't go 9s with just bolt ons or 10s all day long with just drag radials.
