How does RT improvement affect ET?
most people agree that trap-speed is power / weight, and running 110-112 MPH in the quarter-mile says it'll go 12's easy if that 60' time can be improved-upon
the Black '82 in my signature above makes much-less power than a typical C5/C6, yet it covered 60' quicker than your car
my data at-Left in Dark Red, your numbers to the Right in Dark Slate Blue
0330: 5.792 ~ 5.932 / I would be .140 ahead
0660: 8.994 ~ 8.886 / you would be .108 ahead
MPH : 78.77 ~ 84.21 / you are traveling 5.44 MPH-faster
1000: 11.762 ~ 11.340 / you would be .422 ahead
1320: 14.059 ~ 13.386 / you would be .673 ahead
MPH : 97.71 ~ 110.50 / you are traveling 12.79 MPH-faster
if you can get your short-times into the 2.00 / 1.99 range, you'll reach the sunny-side of the 12's

Thanks for the great feedback everyone - I'm printing this stuff out and studying it with my slips. I just got back from Atlanta at the Chevy High Performance Show in Cummings and watched the pros stage at the lights while taking note of that as well. There's an eighth mile track closer to my house in Newport, TN that I will probably do a little practicing at this summer. I hope to post some improved 60 and 330 times soon. I was quite satisfied with my shifting techniques - thanks in part to Ranger's shifting tutorial - but I learned to drive in an old VW Bus with a four speed manual; so comparatively speaking, my MZ6 is a breeze!
Seat time is your best friend in drag racing. I started out turning 13's like you. A few hundred runs, headers/intake/cam/gears and now my daily driver is a 10 second car.
Welcome to the club. It's a lot of fun and you came to the right place for help.

If you want to see some cool cars on Friday starting around 6-7, if it doesn't rain, go to Tower Shops (Home Depot parking lot) at the south east corner of University Drive and I-595. Always a good car show.
Does anybody recommend a vendor for the racing helmets?
