. Three thousand feet. HA! What would that be like???
We've had nights where the DA was -1800
Frank..... would you PULEZZZZZ not tell those "Westerners" about the "Good" NJ air... Let them think it's polluted & bad for you... That will keep the "tough"competition out on the "Left Coast" :D
Frank, I think you're easily good for 12.8's and even 12.7's... in otherwords a 5-6 tenth improvement, but of course depends upon the air how much you improve.
Here in Southern California we have the full scale of DA's.... at Carlsbad which is a 300 feet elevation track, average DA's are in the 1000-2000 feet this time of year, a little higher in the summer, and a little lower in the winter, but, LACR, which sits at 2700 feet or so.... with the 100 degrees in the shade typical average summer weather they have... DA's hitting 5000 feet and above is fairly common.
For you guys who have never raced at the elevation that CFI and ODennis are forced to race in every week, per my calcuations I ran some time ago, if I raced at Bandimere, my 11.55 pass would have been a 12.60ish.... in otherwords those guys are giving up a second and even more depending on the air versus us sea level guys..... so here is my message to CFI and Dennis..... nah, nah, nah :jester
Beach Bum: Phooey on you!!! Don't forget, you are going to be racing at Top Gun in October. Yes, we'll have the cool, fall, air, but it's still 4000' physical altitude. Just slightly lower than what I race at every week. What goes around... comes around.

  ..... however, based upon my success, or I should say lack of success in the Summit series, my chances of qualifying for the team diminishes ever so slightly each points event.... maybe thats a good thing :jester

cheers,

I know the feeling. It seems as thought I get further from the front, every week. However, if things don't look good for your participation on your team at the end of the season, contact me. I am quite sure I can get you into the finals, one way or another. Good luck.

12.76 at 107 mph (yeah, like I know!)
Good luck Frank - whatever you run it will certainly be much improved with the new mods. Actually, if you're lucky and it's a cool day, I would guess around 12.50's. Summer day...who knows...but no matter what you will EASILY be in the 12's.
