Default Little track help please

2011 c6 auto trans base coupe new ps2's intake and cow tune.

Any advice for my first time at the track? Should I mash it or feather the pedal a bit? Also should I keep the Rpms at say 3000 or 3500 with my foot on the brake before launch?

Any other advice would also be welcomed. I push the car hard on the street so I know exactly what it's capable of I have just never pushed it on the track before. Racing my cousins 5.0 with work done. Should be close so I would appreciate any advice that could give me the win or I will never hear the end of it.

DG

I'd start with a 2000 RPM foot break launch....and see what kind of 60' times you get and how traction is...then its all trial and error...

Some people like to leave off an idle or 1000 rpm and "flash' the converter.. then others prefer to leave at 4000 rpm ..

You have to do a trial and error .... see what 2000 does, then you can go up from there... and "BE SURE" you stage the car exactly the same for every run i.e. shallow or deep, so you can compare what the change is in your 60 ' time...

Are you using drag radials, slicks or street tires....if you are using street tires I'd leave at a low rpm..with DR you can bring up the rpm be sure to heat the DR.. if street tires go AROUND the water and just give them a little spin to clean them off..
