C5 z06 qa1's
running a set of SA qa1's on my z06, just curious to what settings you guys are liking on them, Im seeing some people say they like them real soft in rear while launching and some stiffer while launching.
Just chime in with your input!
Thanks

It depends on what tire you're running.
On a radial they'll need to be 1-2 clicks softer than a bias ply.
If on a bias, I'd start at 7, and go softer if needed.
In my opinion, generally speaking, you need to run them stiffer on an IRS car vs a solid axle car.

Tell us more about the solid rear? Moser? Or something different?
Trans up front I guess? What did you do for exhaust?

Sorry just the standard issue stock rear and leaf spring. I do have pfadt trans brace. It seems to help the car launch more consistently that my worn out stock brace.

Well, you’re not really very clear. You said earlier not IRS -solid rear. Now you’re saying it’s still IRS stock rear.

Excuse me for not being clear. What I was trying to get at was still on the stock leaf springs, I didnt ditch the leaf spring and go with a coil over setup. Sorry for the confusion.

If you are still on the leaf springs, one setting is just as good as another. The leaf spring defeats the adjustability of the shocks.

While springs and shocks are closely related, they have two completely different functions.
Single/double adjustable shocks can greatly increase the ability of the car to do what you want it to do.

Usually cut 60ft times in the mid 1.3s launching it around 1800RPM.
And NO, the leaf springs do not negate the adjustability of the shocks.
