Rain, rain, go away...

Today I went to orlando speedworld for their summit points event...I don't care about points but it pays $1500 to win for a $55 entry fee and $20 buy backs...
Today was stupid hot...gates opened at noon and it was 90* already...it hit 95* and was humid as heck...lovely...I never checked the DA but I know it was over +3500...my car ran 6.80 and 6.81 on my two timeshots...my trees were average, a 37 and a 20...the car seems to like going three jets leaner which we did two weeks ago...
First round I get a dodge challenger dialed 8.95...I put 6.80 on my window and we both leave green...he is 61 to my 59 on the tree...we both missed it...I get near the stripe and begin whomping...good thing I did as I went dead on with a two...I was heading for a 79 and a breakout...I'll take the win even though it was a bit fugly...
Second round I catch a 78 olds barge dialed 11.55...this is the 1/8 remember...while waiting for my tree to drop I had a burger, fries and a shake...lol...I cannot catch him so I push him hard and park mine...he goes 6 thou under while I scrape about 7 mph off...whew!.....that was close...
Third round we are in the staging lanes and the sky opens up...I go back to my pit...90 minutes later they have dried the track and we are called back up...I line up with a hitter and friend of mine in his duster...he is dialed 7.24...I put 6.78 on mine since the air is a lot cooler after the rain...must be all the way down to 86* at least...lol...he double bulbs me by mistake but it does not matter...I am determined to hit the tree harder and I do...like 30 red...sheesh...what a maroon I am...I run it out for chits and giggles and, naturally, go dead on two...good guess is all that was...he he...
Anyway, that was the end of my night so I packed up, went home, unhooked the rig and went to Denny's for a late meal...I almost forgot to tell y'all my adventure prior to getting to the track...
I bought a new tow vehicle on thursday..2013 Yukon XL Denali...so I go to hook up my rig this morning and the ball is a couple of inches higher with this vehicle...no problemo...I plug in the trailer harness and try to use my electric tongue jack...oops...no worky...now I have to back to my home and find the manual wrench which I took out of my previous yukon...I finally find it and go back to my toy lot...I raise the trailer manually and lower it onto the hitch ball...of course I had to repeat this tonite when I got home from the track...I do not have a brake controller installed yet but all this will be done by next week...sigh...
I will post a pic of the new whip tomorrow...this is my last event until the end of September...Africa hot and Brazil humid is not my idea of fun...see y'all around the water cooler...
Sorry for the delay...here is the new whip...

Good to see you and the new tow ride is outstanding! I was out in R2 of Pro but still in Sportsman when I saw the rain on the way and decided to pack up and go home. I would have stayed but I was really bummed that the car is still screwed up and down on power.
I am going to call my tuner today and I hope he has some new ideas. Perhaps the C5 is just tired and wants to retire from racing. Maybe this is a push for me to finally get the C6GS sorted out. Hope to see you in the fall.

OK...I just saw on the website they are closing the last half of July...I was told they are paving the grass area across from the fuel dump and lining pit spaces that you will be able to rent out...
