line lock problem ?

line lock problem ?
Never had a line lock before, just installed one and I don't think it's working right. Maybe it is and I don't know better ! Anyways, I got it hooked up and finally working after a mistake in wiring. But , I apply brake pressure, hit the button light comes on and the wheels lock. Let go of the button and to get the wheels to release I have to hit the button again. Is this right ? I thought as soon as you let go of the button the brakes released. Hmmmm.

Sounds like your button is not a momentary type, but an on/off type. You need a momentary button so when you push it, it activates the LL, and when you release, it disengages.

Turned out to be the button . Kept playing with it and sometimes it would take 2 or 3 tries to get it to release. Changed it out and now the line lock releases on the button instantly . I get to go racin in a couple weeks ! Tracks are opening up now. Thanks, Pete !
