Street car takeover is coming to Phoenix in October. I am preparing to have some fun but my concern is getting kicked out for needing a cage. For obvious reasons, I am not going to say everything I have but what 1/4 mile time will I get thrown off the track for not having a cage? I have a 14 C7. Am I good till I break into the 9's?

Starting with 2008 and newer models, stock (or at least stockish) cars are allowed to run as fast as 10.0 and/or up to 134.99MPH without a cage. I say "stockish" because some mods are pretty easy to conceal and since the tech guys aren't ever gonna know what each car runs in pure stock form, it's not uncommon to see low 10 second GTRs (as an example) since a pulley swap and tune wouldn't be very obvious.
You will however still need a jacket if you run faster than 11.50 and a helmet if you go faster than 13.0 (I think).
Your results may vary though as not all tracks enforce the rules equally.
Do you think they will buy the stock argument and let me run? It will be my first time to the track with something semi stock in quite some time. I am ok
with the jacket and helmet. Getting a cage in at this point is going to be difficult.

Looking like that? Not a friggin chance.
At best you might get to run one time but if you **** them off enough in the process it wouldn't be unheard of that not only do they bounce you but may also not even give you your timeslip.
If you're talking about Wildhorse Pass I've raced there a few times (I live in California) and they are surprisingly strict.
I was being a bit sarcastic. I wasn’t going to invest in a cage since they were closing. Now they aren’t. Let me see what I can do. You
dont need a chute till 150 in the 1/4 right?

I am curious on this as well. I have seen videos on cars going deep 7's with only a 6 point cage. Does street car take over have different rules? I know for sure they don't have a 25.5 cage.
