You don't lose much at all, as long as you stay at or under a 3500 stall. Once you move up to a 4000+ stall, it gets very loose.
What rear end ratio do you have?
:iagree:
I have the Yank ST3500 and the driveability is excellent. As Face mentioned the bigger the gear ratio the tighter (like stock) the converter will feel.
For street tires or drag radials, the Y3000 or Super Street 3200 would be good choices.
For drag radials or ET Streets, you could use a SS3600 or the PY3400E, which was designed for nitrous.
97Brian......
I'm using the Super Yank 3500 with 700R4 and 3:70 gears in rear.....Good and tight on the road with lots of deep down guts out of the hole......I use 8" MT ET Streets. I used to run the B&M 3000 Hole shot with my TH350....Both are good converters.....However the Super Yank 3500 is awesome.....Like dumping the clutch..... :flag :seeya Cappy
BTW...that's all throttle no bottle.....415ci small block. :D
