Yesterday I was surprised and pleased to find Bradenton had switched over to LED's on the tree....boy, was I mistaken !...for some reason I was under the impression Led's were going to be brighter, therefor a bit easier to see for my older eyes...WRONG....they were substantially dimmer than the bulbs !!!!....I polled a lot of racers yesterday and across the board they all said the same thing...dimmer and harder to see....
They will take a little getting used to as far as how they operate but I can live with that....do these type of lights come in different brightness' ?....are there different brands ?....are some better/worse than others ?....these were cloudy and dull.. :( ...any thoughts ?
Personally, I know it's gonna take some practice getting used to the new lights before the start of the new season next year as any change throws off "the game." But I have to agree, the LEDs with our weather, combined with no practice on 'em, really made for some adjustments yesterday  :)
Yeah, Dan, only because I have to spot you 2 seconds!
You got a deal.. :yesnod: ...I'm dialing 13.45 these days so you dial 11.45 with your fire truck and we're all set... :reddevil ...is it February yet ?...pant, drool, pant... :D
I honestly can't tell you at this point if they are like those pictured...I'm racing there again on Dec. 5th so I'll walk up close and then I'll be able to tell you... thanks..
It was quite the surprise... ...We'll all do the best we can with them but I just hate that the track I practice at (Orlando) still has bulbs...crap... :(

Re: LED's.... (mackeyred96)
NHRA usues Biondo's bulbs, and they are faster, and brighter. Not sure if theose are teh same ones but i could see where weather would effect preceived brightness
