Lostsoul,
What kind of range are you getting with G vs. B?
I installed a G WAP because the range is supposed to be same as B, but with faster speeds (54Mbps). Also, A is supposed to be as fast as G except for shorter range. See Link: http://www.linksys.com/edu/wirelessstandards.asp
G just seems to be more sensitive from my experiences to locations and barriers such as concrete floors. At a recent client we had more success with a B card running on a G network than a G card, but with strong signal G is the same as B and definately the way to go especially if you do lots of file transfers.

Re: Anyone using wireless internet? (REDGAR)
I have Netgear wireless & a laptop, & DSL. No problems for me. I originally tried Linksys equipment but couldn't get their stuff to work at all. Even tried 3 cards & routers & hours on the phone w/ tech support. Went w/ Netgear & it was up & running in 10 minutes!!!
Edgar, my company manufactures 802.11b & g products in the far east....let me know what you want. My personal new site for retail (we sell wholesale to distributors only) is about to go live...visit: http://www.E2disti.com and register for future needs. 'll email you some prices.
what brand gear are they using
I have private brands built by the same factories doing most of the big names (I can't mention). Any companies that want to start their own brand I can do the whole package...you would have nearly exact state of the art products, your own label, and a WAY better price! (500-1000 piece minimum.) Or I can sell a few to end users...we just don't retail. Wholesale only.) We do supply: http://www.e2disti.com if you want to browse.
