Break problem resolved
It took half a day to figure out what was wrong. At first it appeared to be the master cylinder leaking. Closer inspection found a pin hole in one of the soft metal pipes that carry fluid down from the master cylinder to the distribution point for the anti-locks in the rear of the car.
It appears that after I had a local Vette specialist, no longer in busines as I understand it, re-install my clutch because of the balance problem, they left the clutch line in contact with the break line. Steal braded clutch line Vs. soft metal break line. Guess which looses.
Stops better then ever now.

I must have missed your original post about your wild, finish-line adventure at the Wednesday night test & tune at LACR. Rochelle and I didn't make it to the track that night. I also normally run with just fog lights, then get headlights popped up after I clear the track on return road. After reading that scary story, that will make me think twice about running at night at LACR...at least until they get some top-end lighting, or top-end track crew starts paying a little more attention to the details. It does seem that they try to run us out way too quick on Wednesday nights...need to slow down the pace a little in the name of safety...don't get me wrong, I love to get a few quick runs in, but I don't want to be put in that situation with a car on the dark run out area...could have been deadly. Glad you managed to avoid certain disaster
