Pro Topline Torker Heads Recommendations
Hello Everyone.
I have come across the Pro Topline Torker heads (P/N: 223 6720 167 T http://www.protopline.com/2236720167t.htm ). The flow number look excellent, almost too good for 167 cc intake port.
I have done a search for Topline heads here on the forum and it sounds like some people have had troubles. What kind of troubles? More then anyone can have with an aftermarket head? Are the flow numbers for real? Do you know anyone who sells complete assemblies?
THANKS!

Something wrong there, those specs are for radical 14 deg racing heads, and I don't mean slap a Type R sticker on your bumper racing heads either
The specs are 2.200 in. intake valve and probably around 300cc intake runner, yes they can get 400cfm out of a smalll block head but you won't see it on the street, they are for big inch small block race cars and cost a fortune

That seems more logical. BUT, since Pro Topline's website does not line the intake port volulme, I looked else where. On a couple different websites they are listed as 167cc ??

The only way you are going to get 400CFM flow out of a 167cc intake port is with a blower or 2 or 3 turbo chargers.
Correct part number for stock replacement heads, yes, correct description for said heads, no, Protopline has been out of business for a couple of years as far as I know
The heads you are looing at would barely flow over 200CFM on a good day

Pro-Topline Update
The foundry was purchased by Comp Cams and will be returning under the old RHS head service connected to Comp years back. We've used the Pro heads with excellent results and the numbers in their catalogs were always "dead-on" with our flow bench readings. Just yesterday tested BBC iron heads #224-19000-360. Flow=375CFM @.700 intake/270CFM @ .700 exhaust. These numbers are as cast ("out of the box & on the bench") will produce approx. 760 HP on medium sized Hydraulic Roller BBC. Also will be over 700 Ft.Lbs. torque. All above numbers using 9.75:1 C/.R. and runnig on straight 93 octane. Gary @ The Performance Engine Shop

I was just reading my new Hotrod mag last night and noticed that Pro-Topline was out of business in 2004 and is being bought but Comp Cams with the RHS name. I wouldn't even know they were out of business if it wasn't for that article
