THESE NEW 23 DEGREE, IK200, (IRON KILLER) HEADS ARE ON THE BEST BARGAINS ON THE MARKET TODAY!
READY TO BOLT ON, with 200CC intake runners, ULTRA LITE CASTINGS, BRONZE VALVE GUIDES, valve seats for use with UNLEADED FUEL. ENDS MILLED & DRILLED for accessories, with STRAIGHT SPARK PLUG ANGLE in either, 64 CC or 72 CC COMBUSTION CHAMBERS.
Looking at the exhaust numbers they are not much better than a factory LT1 aluminum head... The intake numbers are good but they seem stuffed up on exhaust side to me.
My ported LT1 heads flow over 280 at .600" lift and even do 275 at .525" lift which is the maximum for my Hotcam. These just don't seem real stout for an aftermarket head.
Trick Flow 23* heads flow almost as well as AFR's at 1/2 the price. You won't find a better flowing head for the money. Get the ones with the dual valve springs, I think Summit sells them for about $1100.00.
I was not going to say anything, but i put alot of money into iron heads in the past with P&P...... only to have cracks appear outside the valve seats. On the other hand I had major valve damage to aluminum and they came back repaired by AFR and they were perfect.

I would never use iron again!
Interesting, i'm putting a vortec 350 in my car and was planning on spraying it eventually.
You can get those IK200s for $700 bare They are meant to be a bargain.
Those heads aren't that bad, but I mean for the money I would run the Dart Platinum 200s on your ZZ4 shortblock.

Vortec heads are a **** poor design in the area of manifold sealing. My buddies automotive shop does 100's of them a year. Nothing like a little coolant in your oil or feeding through the cylinder after a few years of heat cycles. His shop loves Chevy. Mass market junk products to keep the mechanics busy. Oh - nice vacuum leaks also. They just don't have enough bolts holding the manifold on.
I used a vortec specific intake and intake gaskets. The gaskets are a hard plastic with rubber seals around all of the openings. The bolts for the intake are designed so that they bottom out and seal perfectly when used in conjuction with the correct intake gaskets. Everything I've read claims that this system works great.
we used them on a 350 malibu went from a ported set of 64cc 202 iron catings to the 64 cc ik head with the optional cnc combustion chamber et went from 12teens to 12.20s to 11.30s to 11.40s no other changes
to the door price was $1150

They outflow AFR 190's out of the box at .400 and .500 lift With minimal work, these will be outstanding heads.

220,000 miles on my K1500 truck (1st year of the Vortec TBI engine). And I still drive it like I stole it !

That is really good for a street car! You still trying these Steve? Those numbers sound great Cork! I found a set of AFR 195's from a member here so that is what I am going toss on top. I woulda tried them if I had known about those gains though, sound to be a real solid street head for not alot of dough!
